In his first job behind a microphone at age 16, he welcomed children aboard the Animal Land train at the Lagoon amusement park in Utah. After a journalism degree and stints in Salt Lake radio news, he worked for the Associated Press in Washington, D.C. Transitioning from news to public relations, he has served in senior management positions in high tech companies, higher education and public broadcasting.
