Valencia, 1955. A down-on-her-luck spinster poisons her friend and employers out of envy.

Soon enough, their relationship starts to become difficult; the isolation of the house and Daniel's mysterious past transform Yolanda's illusions of happiness into an existence of fear and distrust. Finally Yolanda decides to find out who the person she's living with really is, and in doing so she puts her life and her daughter's at risk.

May 1, 1929. A decomposing headless body is found inside an abandoned wooden box in Madrid's Atocha train station. The victim is later identified as a Barcelona businessman that vanished six months before.
