This raw, intimate portrait of comedian and podcast pioneer Marc Maron follows the sudden loss of his partner and filmmaker Lynn Shelton. Maron struggles with grief, disillusionment, and a shifting comedy landscape, processing it all through his life, both on-stage and off.

Merit, a U.S. Army veteran suffering from PTSD, is repeatedly tortured by visions of her deceased friend and company buddy Zoe. After her Afghanistan service in 2016, she attends group therapy until Dale, her grandfather and former Lieutenant Colonel, is recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Merit steps up to his aide, and discovers more about herself and her family, while also gaining the courage to put her metaphorical demons to rest.

A struggling Tongan immigrant is taken under the wing of a charismatic American salesman. What begins as a dream job quickly unravels into a nightmare as the protégé begins questioning his mentor’s methods.
