The distinctive artist, typographer, and writer Josef Váchal is known to the public primarily for his Blood Novel. The surrealistic exuberance of this defense of 19th-century pulp fiction caught the attention of Jaroslav Brabec and his colleagues, who found a corresponding image of 20th-century "trash." The authors' interest focuses primarily on the silent film era, with a journey through the history of cinema continuing through the advent of sound film to the present day (auteur cinema of the 1960s, modern horror), formally employing techniques such as tinted film. The versatile parody intertwines a colorful plot with the story of the author (Váchal/Paseky), who comments on and creates his book, and is further split in the plot into the characters of Fragonard and the Master. As with Váchal, reality increasingly enters the fiction, so that the only "happy ending" turns out to be the artist's finished work.

The preservation and development of traditional folk crafts is in the hands of skilled individuals... Wicker Beauty presents portraits of those creators from among the holders of the title Bearer of the tradition of folk crafts, for whom the basic working material is various natural weaves. We will show baskets woven from pine bark, tying birch brooms or traditional products from willow wicker and also from pedig, which is a material obtained from tropical liana in Southeast Asia. The five award-winning manufacturers continue the legacy of old basket makers and, together with their families, maintain a tradition in their home workshops that continues from generation to generation.

Nina is an ambitious chef who is about to open her own restaurant, Richard is a sought-after gynecologist. They were once a happy couple, but after years of marriage they find themselves in a complicated relationship situation - neither of them can stand the other. The only thing separating them from divorce is a contract they once wrote on a paper napkin while drunk, in which they pledged that whoever causes the end of the relationship will not receive a single crown from their joint property. In desperation, Richard asks his friend Čenda, who is married to their mutual friend Alena, to seduce Nina at the opening of her new business. But she finds out and plans revenge. Infidelity for infidelity! And so the festive evening is full of confusion, comical situations and gastronomic surprises.

A family film from two legends of Czech children film, Vera Plívová-Simková and Drahomíra Králová. The starting point for the action is a village family with two dogs: their Dalmatians, bearing the legendary names of the movie's title, experience dreamlike visions of life in a "dog kingdom".
